Who We Are and What We Do.
JMSA, Inc.
The Jefferson Main Street Association, Inc., is a collaborative organization of businesses, residents, property owners, and community members who are focused on promoting the development, beautification, and preservation of the Downtown Jefferson Main Street District.
Organzational Structure
JMSA welcomes the participation of businesses, residents, property owners, and other interested community members. There are no fees for membership, making JMSA accessible to all. We promote collaboration and communtiy engagement through regular meetings and working groups that allow us to work together towards common goals.
Community Resource
JMSA offers support and guidance to businesses and other organizations on a range of topics such as marketing, event planning, storefront improvements, and available resources.
Events
JMSA plans and hosts a number of events intended to showcase our Main Street Community and encourage people to not just come to Downtown Jefferson, but to explore all that it has to offer. Through events like Customer Appreciation Days, Chili Walk, Meet the Makers, Fiesta Latina, Shop Small Weekend, and Fall Fest, JMSA works to bring the community together and welcome visitors from neighboring communities who are looking for something fun to do.
Additionally, JMSA works to promote community events sponsored by other area organizations. Whether it is the annual Plein Aire Art Competition, Goat Fest, Gemeutlichkeit Days, the Spring and Fall Car Show, or the annual Sheep and Wool Festival, there is always something to do in Jefferson!
Marketing
In addition to promoting the many events held in Downtown Jefferson, JMSA works to market the Downtown District to encourage visitors and day-trip tourists to explore our Main Street Community and find all of the wonderful things Jefferson has to offer. Kayak on the Rock River. Eat one of the best burgers of your life. Find the perfect outfit or antique. Watch as pottery is made or a masterpiece is painted. Take a wine flight at the winery. Make and decorate a laser cut wooden sign. Find out more about our local history. All of this and more can be found right here in Jefferson. And it’s our job to help you find it.
Preserve and Beautify
We are committed to both preserving our historic heritage and beautifying Downtown Jefferson. Self-guided history tours using the latest technology. Encouraging storefront beautification through facade improvements and planters. Working with the City to decorate the Downtown for the Holidays. Helping business and building owners access community resources to make building improvements possible. JMSA is committed to keeping our community beautiful and a place to be proud of!
